"GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX (S.A.C.)" with its sharp visuals and philosophical themes, set in a near-future cyber world, continues to fascinate fans around the world. This exhibition is the world's first official art sales event to reconstruct the one-of-a-kind world view of Ghost in the Shell as “contemporary art” and to sell and exhibit the artworks.

The event is organized by “GAAAT,” Tokyo-based art brand with global presence following the theme of Pop culture x Art. Under official license, all artworks are limited editions with a certificate of authenticity, representing dynamic and iconic scenes from the “Ghost in the Shell: STAND ALONE COMPLEX” anime series as official metal canvas artworks.

In October we present Reclaimed: Beauty in the Forgotten, a solo exhibition by artist/sculptor Terry Richardson. Her highly textured, deconstructed, upcycled paper and book paintings explore the transformative potential of materials often overlooked. This exhibition invites viewers to see the world around them through a lens of renewal and possibility.

Richardson’s work centers on the quiet beauty of reclaimed and repurposed materials—revealing how discarded elements can be reimagined into organic, evocative forms. The sculptures draw inspiration from natural and cellular structures, suggesting growth, resilience, and the quiet architecture of life itself. Reclaimed challenges traditional ideas of value and aesthetics, encouraging viewers to reconsider their relationships with material and environment. Each piece stands as a statement of intentional renewal—where what is available becomes the foundation for something expressive and alive.

Rain, Rhythm and Resilience is Stacy Milrany’s newest collection, showing for the month of September at Gray Sky Gallery in Seattle. These layered, mixed-media works pulse with color, movement, and emotional honesty. Rooted in the literal and emotional weather of the Pacific Northwest, they explore what it means to keep dancing—especially when the music cuts out. Full of ferries, forests, storm clouds, and grit, this show is a reminder to move through the mess—and maybe find each other there.

For the month of August we are excited to introduce Al Schwartz with his show ‘Untitled’

‘Where felt sense finds form.’

‘Untitled’, is a series of original works by artist Al Schwartz shaped by over three decades of creative evolution, from a tactile foundation in ceramics and sculpture, to a richly intuitive abstract painting practice.

My art is a collaboration between myself, the materials, and the moment. It's rooted in intuition, in what I call a "felt sense," a kind of knowing that lives in the body, mind, and spirit before it ever takes shape in words or form. I build up layers, then break them down, adding, subtracting, scraping back, rebuilding. It's a natural rhythm of creation and destruction, control and chaos, complexity and simplicity, always moving, always discovering, always becoming. What emerges is not a rendering of something outside of itself, but the art as its own subject. Each piece is a singular object-one-of-a-kind, never repeatable. It has its own voice.

To me, this way of working mirrors life. There are struggles and breakthroughs, challenges and beauty. The history of each mark, and each layer carries the memory of that journey. The result is not a perfect form, but a visual and emotional terrain that's honest, raw, and reflective.

The title “Untitled”, is a conscious choice. It reflects my intention to leave the work open, free from narrative. The viewer is invited to engage and connect with the work on a sensory and emotional level guided by the same "felt sense" that drives my own creative process.

In June we will be featuring “Echoes of the Soul”, the beautiful and colorful large scale abstract acrylic paintings of Magdalena Cooney. Her new work explores the depths of the human experience going beyond the surface, prompting viewers to engage with their subconscious and explore the deeper layers of their being.

In May, “Visual Symphony” Scott Gibson’s most recent work invites viewers into a world where music and art collide. Each work is an exploration of the vivid, sensory experience of sound translating into vibrant, emotional visuals. As an artist with synesthesia each work expresses Scott’s personal perception of what music looks like. Scott uses resin techniques that he has pioneered and pushes the boundaries of this medium.

Celebrating her 7th year with Gray Sky Gallery, we are featuring artist BethAnn Lawson for the month of February.  Her work as a modern impressionist painter has brought us some memorable series including her local work of the Space Needle, Smith Tower and Lake Union, as well as her popular Hygge’s series that has comforted us with that recognizable Danish spirit of well-being.

Step into “These Four Walls”- an art show that explores the intricate relationships between architecture, community, home and the sense of belonging that dwells within these spaces. This exhibition features a unique collection of minimalist forms of Mixed Media Paintings by Laura Van Horne and Ceramic Houses by Karen Abel. In addition the two artists have done some collaborative wall pieces mixing ceramics, acrylic paint and epoxy resin.
