These paintings are created using a resin process developed by Scott using both painting and sculptural processes with pigmenting, painting, gouging, etching, grinding, sanding, cutting, torching and scraping resin as well as embedding wire and other media in the resin to create complex depth. Scott has Synesthesia which is a rare neurological trait where stimulation of one sense involuntarily triggers another and as a result he sees colors when listening to music. In his most recent Series, he paints the colors seen while listening to a particular song. The title of each piece is the name of the song that inspired the work.
